From here, you can comfortably organize day trips to Mount Etna, the Etna wine region, Savoca, Forza d'Agrò, Castelmola, Syracuse, and other destinations.

However, if your goal is to see the entire island, I wouldn't recommend using only one base.

A multi-day itinerary with different overnight stops reduces unnecessary driving and allows you to experience Sicily at a much more enjoyable pace.
